🗑️ Delete empty text frames in InDesign

When translating an InDesign file with Redokun, you might skip some paragraphs that are not needed in the target language. As a result, the translated file may contain empty text frames that you no longer need.

This script helps you quickly delete all empty text frames in your document.

⚙️ How to install and run the script

To learn how to install and run a script in InDesign, follow this guide:

👉 Install an InDesign script

Once installed, double-click the script in the Scripts panel. You’ll see the following options:

  • Delete all empty: Deletes all empty text frames.
  • Delete also Text Frames containing invisible characters (e.g., spaces, returns, etc.): Deletes frames that contain only whitespace or invisible characters.
