đź“‘ Fix missing page previews in InDesign files

❗ Note: Previews only work if they are embedded by InDesign in the IDML. If you skip the steps below, Redokun won’t be able to show them.

1. Install Redokun’s InDesign Extension

2. Save your file under a new name

  1. Open your .indd file.
  2. Save it as a new INDD file under a different name.

3. Export a new IDML and upload it

  1. From the renamed INDD file, export it as IDML.
  2. Upload the new IDML to Redokun.

The page previews should now display correctly.

⚠️ Still not seeing previews?

InDesign usually generates previews correctly once set up. However, due to a long‑standing bug, some files may still get stuck.

If that happens:

  1. Reboot InDesign.
  2. Repeat steps 2–3 before importing your file.
