🤖 How AI translation credits and AI translation usage work in Redokun

Redokun's AI-powered translation (Pre-Translate, in-editor suggestions, and AI Fine-Tune) is included with your plan and covered by a Fair Use Policy.

🤖 When AI translation is used

AI runs whenever Redokun generates a translation using an external engine (DeepL, Google Translate, ChatGPT):

• Pre-Translate: for segments that can't be filled from your Translation Memory.
• AI suggestions in the Web Editor.
• AI Fine-Tune: refining a translation (grammar, length, alternatives).

Segments matched from your Translation Memory don't use AI. AI-generated translations are saved as Draft and must be reviewed and confirmed manually.

⚖️ Fair Use Policy

AI translation is covered by a Fair Use Policy instead of a fixed credit balance. The limits are set high enough that normal use will never reach them. They exist only to prevent abuse, and there's nothing to track or top up.

📝 A note on terminology

You may still see older terms like "AI credits" or "MT words" in some parts of Redokun. These are being replaced by AI translation usage under the Fair Use Policy.
