🔑 Understanding roles & permissions
Redokun offers three user roles: Translators, Managers, and the Team Owner. Each role comes with specific permissions to support efficient collaboration and workflow control.
👤 Translator
What translators can do:
- Access only the documents they’ve been invited to
- Translate using the Web Editor or exchange files
- Use Pre-Translate and AI suggestions (if available)
- View the Glossary and use Translation Memory suggestions
- Modify Glossaries and Translation Memories (only if a manager has granted them edit access in the Settings)
What translators cannot do:
- Upload documents
- Download completed translations

👥 Manager
What managers can do:
- All translator permissions, plus:
- Upload documents and revisions
- Download completed files
- Assign or reassign translators
- Create, edit, or delete folders
- Manage Glossaries and Translation Memories
- Unlock translation tasks
- View all team members and shared assets
📁 Documents, folders, TMs, and Glossaries are shared across all managers in the team.

🛡️ Team Owner
The Team Owner has all manager permissions, with additional control over:
- Billing and subscription settings
- Inviting or removing managers
- Changing the team name or owner
- Accessing audit logs (available on Team+ plans)
🔐 This is the only role that manages your Redokun subscription.
