🌍 Bulk edit target languages and translators
This guide explains how to add new target languages or update existing ones in multiple documents at once using Redokun's bulk actions.
✅ When to Use This
Use this feature when you want to:
- Add the same target language(s) to several documents.
- Update or assign translators for an existing language across multiple documents.
This helps you manage teams and projects more efficiently, especially in large translation workflows.
🔐 Who Can Use This Feature?
Only users with a Manager role can add or update languages in multiple documents at once.
Translators do not have access to this feature.
➕ Add or Update Target Languages and Translators for Multiple Documents
This action is only available when selecting individual documents. You cannot apply it to folders — this prevents accidental changes to large sets of documents, especially when folders contain subfolders and many files.
- Go to your Document List and browse to the folder containing the documents you want to update.
- Select the documents you want to update by ticking the checkboxes on the left.
Click Add target languages in the toolbar at the top.
- In the pop-up, search and select the target language(s) you want to add or modify.
- Assign translators to each selected language.
- Click Add languages to confirm.
🔄 Your changes will apply across all selected documents. Double-check your selections before proceeding.
🔁 What Happens When You Apply This Action
- If a selected document does not already have the language:
- The target language is added.
- The assigned translators are added.
- If a selected document already has the language:
- The existing translators are updated and replaced with the ones you've just selected.
