📁 Moving files and folders

This guide explains how to move documents and folders within Redokun, either one at a time or in bulk, and what to expect when performing this action.


🔁 What Happens When You Move a Document or Folder

When you move a document or folder in Redokun:

  • The file or folder is relocated to the selected destination.
  • All content, including translations and assigned translators, remains intact.
  • No notifications are sent to assigned translators or team members.

✅ You can move documents or folders at any time. It will not interrupt translation work.


📂 How to Move a Single Document or Folder

  1. Go to your Document List.
  2. Locate the document or folder you want to move.
  3. Click on the three-dots icon, and select Settings.


  4. Under Parent folder, select the destination folder.
  5. Click Save to confirm.


📦 How to Move Multiple Documents or Folders

  1. In your Document List, select the checkboxes next to each item you want to move.
  2. When the toolbar appears at the top, click Move to folder.


  3. Select the destination folder.
  4. Click Move here to confirm.



📌 Notes and Limitations

  • Only users with a Manager role can move files and folders. Translator accounts do not have permission to perform this action.
  • You can only move items within your organization's Redokun workspace.
  • Moving a folder moves all of its contents (documents and subfolders).
